This piece was a carefree take on a self-portrait after struggling in my drawing class to capture my likeness. None of my attempts looked remotely like me until I took an abstract, flawed approach—an insight that captures a core part of my creative process and identity. When I aim for perfection, I find myself further from it, yet when I let go and let my marker guide me, I produce an abstract representation that feels genuinely like me. This portrait reflects my belief in embracing imperfection as part of my art and sense of self.
