This piece, Each Meal, was my second attempt at using charcoal to capture the reflective qualities of a fork. A fork is something used at almost every meal, yet drawing it involved a surprisingly tedious process of layering shadows and midpoints to achieve the right values and precision. Through this careful work, I saw beyond the object itself to the dedication I poured into each detail—a reflection of my commitment to both art and life’s small but meaningful moments.
